This role will be engage software development in an Agile SAFe framework in a DevSecOps environment with a focus in front-end web development with JavaScript and various web technologies. This is a software development position on a team building and maintaining web-based applications to meet mission requirements. An individual in this role is also expected to perform automated testing and unit testing using a JavaScript test framework (such as Jasmine or Karma), while performing automated deployments of software modules using a Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools pipeline.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation, new development and enhancement, primarily leveraging JavaScript (or TypeScript), JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS or Angular, as well as HTML5 and CSS3
  • Package management and tooling using npm
  • Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods using JavaScript test frameworks (such as Jasmine or Karma) and Katalon
  • Participate in the development of documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with customers, Scrum Masters, and cross-functional areas to communicate project statuses and initiatives.
  • Analyze data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or modifications to existing systems.
  • Support the Agile software development lifecycle.
  • Use of industry leading tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting
  • Perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments leverage GitFlow constructs
  • Communicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute project plans.
  • Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities
  • Apply best practices and standard operating procedures
  • Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers.
  • Duties also include participating in daily scrums, performing software requirements analysis, risk identification, risk mitigation, and collaboration across Agile teams.
  • Flexible cross-training to also provide systems engineering, software development, training, security, and testing is also desired.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Significant experience with at least one of: Angular or ReactJS
  • Significant experience with modern web development and using npm and node.js for local development tasks
  • Significant experience with general web architecture
  • Significant experience with working in Linux and Windows environments
  • Significant experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Jenkins, Github, JIRA, Java, and Confluence.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Candidate must have Bachelors with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience can accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Candidate must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph.
