Evening Childcare Care Needed
Needed for 1 - 3 children. Ages: 1 – 5 years old. Presently there are 2 children (2.5 years old).
Hours
Wednesday: 6am – 8:30am
Thursday: 4:30pm – 7:30pm
Friday: Every other Friday from 6:30am – 8am (dates – 5/22 – 6/5 – 6/19 – 7/3 and so forth)
Saturday: Every other Saturday from 9am – 1pm
I have a class on the 2nd weekend of every month. Saturday, June 12th. We can switch with another
day above.
Responsibilities:
I’m looking for a person that loves working with children. I want the environment to feel like home, but still have a schedule, and the structure that children can follow. You must be able to run this program as your own, I don’t have time to supervise nor train. Of course I will show you my routine that we presently do. It would be nice if you already have child CPR. If not, I will pay for you to get certified. There may be times that you will have to pick up the children from other locations (daycare) using my vehicle, but presently this is not needed. This position would be ideal for a student majoring in early education or a seasoned mom that has a whole bunch of experience and wants to pour into children and have some wisdom to share.
I would like to incorporate a good weekly schedule; that should consist of reading time, the alphabet for week, a craft project, music time, movie selections, creative play time, etc. This person should be comfortable in preparing the monthly menu and the food for the children. Supervise children during dinner time, getting cleaned up for bed time, making sure all play items are put back in its proper place, and going to bed. Must be comfortable in potty training. You must have ENERGY – my Grandson by himself is loaded with it! During the summer time it would be nice to get some outside time.
Background on us: I am a Grandmother of an amazing, wonderful, energized grandson. And yes, he is good and spoiled. I believe in loving and spoiling a child, but I am also very firm in being the parent with children and firm. I believe education is very important in children’s lives. I’m ok with movie time on the tablet sometimes, but I encourage and prefer creative play time. His mother works in the evening. I also work at night so evening childcare for him has been challenging for us. We have a very small family circle, so there is no Auntie, cousin or the other Grandmother to call upon. I would like stress, I want to keep his environment as comfortable, normal, playful and consistent as possible. I am very particular with him and who is apart of his life, but if you are the right person – we will warm up to you.
I’m sure you have the question, were does the other 1 – 2 children come from? I clean at night and there are times we run into complications with evening care with another small child that I've grown quite fond of.
Saturday would be very relaxed. Presently I’m experiencing some slight issues with my hand and realizing having the extra help is what I need. All I can say (when times get normal again), I hope you like yard sales!

I’m looking for this person to have LOTS of ENERGY, playful, stern, creative, neat and tidy, initiative to get it done, prepare small simple meals, a love for education, good with potty time, flexible, and a good positive personality!
Starting pay $10 per hour.
