The role of the Cloud Systems Administrator will be to design, build, implement and deliver scalable Microsoft and AWS Cloud solutions. This role will be responsible for designing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure environment and to ensure a secure environment through effective patching and vulnerability remediation.

Partnerships

The Cloud Systems Administrator will develop and share knowledge with foundational technology teams including infrastructure, End User Services, and Collaboration to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions to help meet business needs.

Impact

The Cloud Systems Administrator will drive the ongoing cloud adoption efforts at Indivior through their skillset and output. They will strive to implement and achieve high performance and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Administration Functions

Implement enterprise level IaaS solutions
Align solutions to platform, data, cloud and reference architecture patterns and capabilities
Ensure appropriate implementation of technology following all standards and best practices
Ensure hosting assets are fully patched
Ensure hosting assets are up to date on security vulnerability remediations
Work with Active Directory Administrator to ensure hosting environment has proper GPO and DNS configurations

Advisory

Share AWS best practices, lessons learned and constantly update teammates based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current, and upcoming AWS Cloud capabilities
Review environment regularly for efficiency and cost optimization.
Conduct research on environmental issues and attend meetings to propose technical solutions based on appropriate initiatives.

Operational Support

Provide AWS support to operations and business teams
Perform root cause analysis and provide guidance to technical leadership regarding future issue prevention
