About the Opportunity

This position requires the ability to work onsite in Richmond, VA within a secured location 3 days a week and remote the remaining time.

Our National Incident Response Team (NIRT), a national service provider for the Federal Reserve System, delivers effective and efficient national intrusion detection, incident response, security intelligence, threat assessment, and vulnerability assessment services for the Federal Reserve System. The mission of the National Incident Response Team is to play a leading role in the Federal Reserve System's efforts to protect its information systems against unauthorized use.

NIRT's is seeking a motivated intelligence or information security professional to join their Cyber Threat Intelligence team as a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Analyst.

As a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will work from a secure facility and process and analyze classified information, significant current events, threat actors, campaigns, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and malware. You will synthesize classified and unclassified information and identify patterns to determine the impact to current risk posture and analyze raw and finished classified national security reporting to identify reporting that may increase the cyber risk to the FRS. YOu will use your analysis to inform FRS information security and technology practitioners, identify controls/mitigations, and provide situational awareness.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and manage customer intelligence requirements; triage and evaluate classified reporting for relevance
  • Employ s trong interpersonal and networking skills to connect with customers, partners, and peers
  • Translate knowledge of evolving threats into risk-based guidance to customers.
  • Understand the cyber threat landscape for the financial services industry, central banks, and US government entities; contextualize broad changes in the cyber threat landscape for the business
  • C ommunicate cyber threat and risk information to stakeholders , includ ing delivering classified briefings , writing intelligence products and other reports, and contextualiz ing reporting for stakeholders to make decisions on risk
  • Review classified threat intelligence reporting; determine relevance for FRS and customers and evaluate content for future cybersecurity fusion center action
  • Optimize the cyber intelligence lifecycle; manage delivery of core intelligence services; develop cross-team initiatives to implement cybersecurity improvements for recognized gaps

Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • Previous SCIF experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Systems Analysis, or a domain related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience; Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Systems Analysis or a domain related field preferred
  • 6- 8 years of combined intelligence, cybersecurity , or similar experience required
  • Experience in computer network defense, computer network exploitation, incident response, computer forensics, or malware reversing preferred
  • Experience working in the financial sector preferred
