Job Summary

Leads NERC compliance activities for Windows and RHEL systems. The successful candidate will use technical systems knowledge paired with knowledge of documented regulatory requirements to ensure the teams' subject matter experts remain compliant as they perform daily, monthly, and annual tasks. The successful candidate navigates regulatory guidelines and business best practices to meet current and ever-changing requirements, improve processes, and strengthen compliance within the organization.

Develops and maintains primary and operational procedures across a diverse IT operations infrastructure. Responsibilities include but are not limited to creating and maintaining documented technical procedures, capturing evidence of compliance, reducing human performance errors through improved procedures, and eliminating audit findings. The ideal candidate is a team player with exceptional communication skills, both written and oral. The ideal candidate is also organized with a track record of creating order from chaos. This position requires being comfortable working in an IT operations area governed by regulatory requirements where deadlines are part of the daily landscape.

Working knowledge of cyber security architecture and technology best practices is essential to ensure effective compliance processes and procedures are implemented for systems supported. Expectation is continuous process improvement by evaluating existing processes and tools, looking for failure points. The successful candidate will implement controls to mitigate future potential failures. Position is responsible for collecting compliance evidence in supported areas.

Guides and supports application teams with system or service onboarding. During onboarding, this candidate is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving implementation issues by working closely with peer system administrators and/or engaging vendor support as needed. Coordinates with cyber security, compliance, and application teams to recognize and implement technical solutions. These solutions demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards while identifying and implementing automation to minimize repetitive tasks. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Successful candidate can work out of Richmond, VA or Cayce, SC office location.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

-Information Security Analyst - 3 years or -Sr. Information Security Analyst- 5 years' experience with hands on experience with common IT system platforms/operating systems including SharePoint. • Administering an IT configuration management/monitoring system. • Comfortable with configuration management principles with preference given to candidates having hands on experience with configuration management tools • Understands current security architecture best practices. • Understands IT Technology to successfully improve and maintain a compliance program. • Ability to navigate through diverse technologies with subject matter experts. • 1 to 3 years of cyber, IT audit, or compliance experience. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word to create and maintain procedures. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Experience with Cyber regulatory standards and requirements with a desire to master it. • Root cause analysis understanding and/or training. • Human performance failure analysis training and/or understanding. • Possesses strong drive to independently learn and adapt to new system administration responsibilities. • Proactively identifies & leads implementation efforts to improve processes and/or automate functions to better support compliance tasks. • Technical project coordination/management in an operations setting.
