The candidates will be part of a team that provides technical support for Dominion Energy Electric Distribution field operations. Candidates should be enrolled in an electrical engineering program and have a developing knowledge of engineering principles and practices; preferably in electric power systems. A working knowledge of analysis software packages such as Synergi Electric, PSS\E, PSCAD, MATLAB, etc., is also preferred. Job activities may include: • Power system modeling and analysis: load flow and predictive reliability modeling • Perform/support evaluation, design, engineering, and support activities related to advanced power systems technologies such as Microgrids and DER integration. • Assisting in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of computer based tools for Dominion Energy's engineering groups. • Data mining and data analytics. • Power System Network Model Data Validation, Merging and Management. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience Must be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering degree program from an ABET accredited Engineering program at a four year or post-graduate college or university. Candidates must have a 3.2 minimum GPA.
