As part of The Federal Reserve Financial Services, FedCash Services provides national operational mentorship and technology strategies for U.S. currency and coin supplied to depository institutions by the 12 Federal Reserve Banks. The IT Business Analyst will pertain to FedCash Services' software development and support team that is in charge of developing, maintaining, and improving the Federal Reserve System's cash operations suite of applications. We work to enable a low touch, steady, and resilient cash supply chain that demonstrates dynamic technology to meet demand under any circumstance.

As an IT Business Analyst, you will conduct project management and agile process analysis. Here you will partner with the Project and Product Managers teams to implement to our project methodology by designing and maintaining reports for tracking and monitoring on the project and program risks, issues, budgets, and overall status of individual projects.

Highlights of Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for producing statistical metrics to coordinate risks and issues, project schedules, budgets, and agile-related metric reports.
  • You will interact with both technical and business users to understand requirements and translate into technical specification when needed.
  • You may be encouraged to fulfill some project management duties as business needs warrant.
  • You may be called upon to help complete the Product Manager's vision.
  • Supply to the elaboration and advancement of the roles and responsibilities for this position, identifying process improvements, and sharing with your peers.
  • You may assist in the analysis of defects and improvements to resolve severity and priority as well as overall validity.
  • You will participate in project execution (budget, schedule, risks, quality, meeting minutes, work, etc.) to deliver the desired outcome to the project's partners.
  • Help us ensure that project activities are completed in accordance with applicable Federal Reserve standards, such as Technology Project Standards (TPS) and Application Development.
  • You will maintain project artifacts in electronic repository per department policies/practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or any technical related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically requires 1-2 years of related IT business analyst experience.
  • Ability to bridge the business/IT divide in a way that establishes rapport and gains understanding.
  • Possess a good understanding of business requirement development and analysis including use cases, functional specifications, user interface specifications, etc.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Data visualization skills to deliver graphical representation of metrics for project status.
  • Strong teamwork, initiative, critical thinking, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to influence successfully in a highly matrix or virtual organization.
  • U.S. Citizenship or a holder with the intent to become a .

Preferred Skills:
  • Agile and/or Scaled Agile experience.
  • Tableau or Excel Reporting tools
