ABOUT THE ROLEFor all DARS/DSA Agencies, the following IT Security tasks should be performed at a Senior Level by the candidate hired for this role:

1. Examine DSA internal IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risk, and develop remediation strategies2. Create Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Risk Assessment (RA), and Corrective Action Plan (CAP) documentation for all systems3. Plan, implement, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of the organization’s data, systems, and networks and respond to all system and network security breaches4. Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities and create counteractive strategies to protect the networks5. Prepare IT security audit plans and procedures and conduct efficient and effective IT audits6. Perform regular audit and application controls testing and provide recommendations to required governance areas7. Identify and document sensitive applications and systems and develop a strong understanding of business and system processes8.
