Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Functional, Non-functional & automation testing of Major & Minor Enhancements and Bug fixes
  • Carrying out requirements gathering, analysis for formulating and implementing test strategies and plans.
  • Coordinate testing for small to medium initiatives. Identify, create, and execute the appropriate Test Assets (plans, cases, scripts, metrics) to assure the developed application conforms to requirements and design.
  • Estimation of time required for system integration testing, user acceptance testing, automation testing, regression testing, preparing schedules, test script reviews and execution.
  • Discussing business solutions with Anthem business teams, development teams, user acceptance teams,offshore and onsite testing teams in resolving existing problems and improving the quality of software being delivered to SIT, UAT and production.
  • Coordinate status reviews with offshore development team on a daily basis.
  • Schedule weekly meetings with client and the team on a need basis.
  • Schedule test strategy, test plan, test script review discussions during planning and test execution.
  • Managing WBS, monthly forecast tracker and resource plans based on project's testing needs.
  • Anticipates and tracks project issues, risks, dependencies and constraints closely and takes corrective actions to resolve and achieve commitments.
  • Responsible for project communication within the team and to the management.
  • Provide sign-off for testing and monitor promotion of software to user acceptance testing and production.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for maintenance and continuous upgrade of regression suites required for system integration testing.
  • Responsible for constantly updating and maintaining domain knowledge repository.
  • Responsible for initiating process improvement within the team to improve the productivity of the team and for the betterment of the project.
  • Responsible for defect triage and drive project testing touch base calls across multiple teams to ensure that defects are properly assigned in JIRA, fixes are retested properly and tracked to closure.
  • Primary Point of Contact (POC) for development team in the event there is a show-stopper or critical defects are reported on the application being tested
  • Works with dependent teams to identify root cause and ensuring that necessary corrective action is taken.
  • Ensuring that the testing processes, terminology and artefacts align with Client and industry benchmarks.
  • Ensuring that the project's quality standards are constantly met or better the company's benchmarks.
  • Educate the team on common mistakes/errors/defects and create a plan to avoid those mistakes.
  • Coordinate with technology teams, business analysts, product owners, developers within the scrum teams
  • Coordinate/execute testing across multiple testing phases, including SIT, UAT, and Regression.
  • Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.
  • Hold Peer Reviews to ensure the completeness of all Test Assets created.
  • Ensure all applicable SDLC and testing processes are followed.
  • Execute linkage from test plan to test scenarios and test cases.
  • Assist in the creation of or creates and communicates all testing deliverable(s) MTP, TES, etc. Identifies when test automation is appropriate.
  • Coordinate, identify, and execute test cases. Identify, report, and review defects in assessing application quality working with various business units.
  • Collect and analyze data for software process evaluation and improvements and integrate them into business processes to address the needs of business.
  • Triage defects for smaller or medium initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Minimum 10+ years of Lead I - Software Testing Experience.
  • Education: Bachelors (required)
