Job Description: The client is seeking an experienced server engineer to assist in the daily management of the agency managed Windows and Linux based server, application and client resources. Responsibilities:- Management of day-to-day server and client operations.
- Expertise in Cisco and/or Avaya Wireless LAN technologies.
- Linux administration experience.
- Support of server-based antivirus and network monitoring systems.
- Experience in a laboratory and/or building automation environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues from client software/device through to ISP.
- Strong presence, professional image, and ability to deal confidently with technical matters.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, with occasional work outside of regular hours.
- Highly motivated, self-sufficient and able to work well independently.
- Industry related certifications are a bonus.
- Experience with AWS administration and configuration
- Experience installing, configuring and supporting Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, 2019 and associated software
- Previous experiencing supporting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO and RAS.
- Experience with MS Office - MS Word, Excel, Visio and Project. Must be able to prepare technical documentation using these and other tools
- Strong presence, professional image, and ability to deal confidently with technical matters.
- Ability to work flexible hours, with occasional work outside of regular hours
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Experience with Linux OS administration
- Industry certifications, AWS and Linux related certification a plus.
- Experience with R-Studio
- Experience in a laboratory environment
- Switch/Firewall/Router configuration experience
