The Office Product Group (OPG) is creating a new Loop app that combines a powerful and flexible canvas with portable components that stay in sync and move freely across Microsoft 365 apps. Loop is an entirely new way to work together – designed for the hybrid world. With concepts such as workspace, pages, and components we need a backend service that helps users work together, see everything in one place, and stay in sync and on track.This Senior Product Manager role is for you if you want to lead the definition and construction of an intelligent, freaky fast middle tier service that helps users Find and Re-Use content across Loop workspaces based on relevant collaboration activities, presence, progress, and patterns. It’s a role that has you thinking about customer UX experiences, how we’ll process and reason over all the activity signals, how we’ll keep the app up to date (on web, mobile, and desktop), and how we’ll process signals with customer trust and engagement guiding our efforts. You’ll help commercial, educational, small business, and consumer users feel in control of their project work, connected to teammates, and confident they are looking at important Loop content.We value someone with natural curiosity about customer needs and approaches new app and service development with a growth mindset as we innovate and continually improve our product offering. You’ll collaborate across stakeholders and create clarity as you define the service roadmap and success metrics working closely with Loop designers, user research, engineering, early adopter customers and with M365 partner teams, like Teams, Outlook, OneNote and Office apps. Generate excitement around the product and service plans as you bring a positive, motivational tone and energy to the team and partner conversations

Translate the big picture into detailed and effective functional requirements and drive project execution

Lead with hypothesis-driven product development methods and data-driven decision making, defining key result metrics and measuringsuccess

Engage directly with internal and external customers and partners to integrate feedback and improve product plans

Communicate effectively with the ability to work across different teams, partners and geo location

Embrace an adaptable and flexible organizational culture and thrive in our fast paced and evolving industry/technology

Qualifications5+ years working as a product or program manager with engineering teams delivering highly reliable, scalable, and fast services

Familiarity with concepts and technologiessuch as activity signals, presence, Substrate,machine learning (ML), and pipeline latenciesand ability to rapidly come up to the speed on complex technologies and architectures

Track recordof customer driven product innovation including user research, curiositywith customer feedback, concept testing, data driven measurement, and iteration and audience rollout planning

Proven ability to drive large projects requiring cross organization, virtual team collaboration and leadership

Ability to establish key metricsthat evaluate customer success and service quality (reliability, latencies, COGS, and more)

Self-motivated and self-directed

Excellent communication and presentation skills

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
