Job Title: Solar Development Team – Project Engineer

Location: Richmond, VA/REMOTE

Duration: 12 months plus several extensions of contract.

Special Notes: New Posting, Additional Need. Does not need to be in Virginia but will need to be onsite once a month and will be eligible for per diem for days worked onsite. Solar experience is a requirement. Please ensure solar experience is clearly identifiable in the resume and/or comments section. The position will sit at 600 Canal Place, Richmond, VA. The first week will be onsite to gather equipment and meet the team. The schedule will be 1 week onsite and 3 weeks remote. Contractors are eligible for per diem on the weeks that they are in the office (if they require travel to Richmond, VA). Reasonable to and from travel expenses to the office are available to be expensed. Per diem applies on the days actually worked. There may be some travel in addition to onsite once per month dependent on project needs. Travel costs will be covered and arranged prior to travel. The work schedule will be 5, 10 hour days = 50/hrs per week. Overtime does apply for anything over 40hrs. Interviews will be conducted via MS Teams and be 30 mins each. What is the preferred candidate location (local, non-local, remote?) and is there flexibility? The work will start remote and as office work resumes (targeted time frame is July 1st) the team will have a blended schedule of onsite work and remote work. The Development Project Engineer has a focus on site development and design. Candidate should have experience and knowledge of the following:

- Environmental studies, including:-Stream and Wetlands delineation-Rare, Threatened and Endangered species habitat and population surveys-Phase 1 ESA-Cultural, Archaeological, and Historical surveys

- Civil Surveys and Design, including:- Topography Evaluation- Boundary and ALTA Surveys- Geotechnical and Pile Load Testing- Grading, Stormwater, and Erosion and Sediment Control

- Solar Site Conceptual Design, including:- Site Plan for Zoning Permitting- Preliminary Array Layout- Buffers and Setbacks- Easements and Right-Of-Ways • High Level Project Overview:o Client is increasing its annual installed solar generating capacity from about 300MWac to 1,000MWac per year. The Project Construction organization includes creating new natural & renewable gas and electric generating assets including nuclear, wind, solar, and gas turbine. The solar group is organized into several sequential teams; Development, Diligence, Pre-Construction, Execution, and Close-Out.

The Development Team oversees greenfield solar projects being developed by client sufficiently for the project to be ready for competitive EPC Bidding. The Diligence Team oversees the EPC bidding process, capital budgeting, corporate governance, and EPC contract negotiation through execution. The Pre-Construction Team oversees the engineering and permitting phase including equipment selection. The Execution Team oversees construction of the facility and the Close-Out Team oversees completion of punch-list work once the facility is turned over to Operations.

• The Project Engineer is a technical coordinator of engineering tasks.

Preferred Years of Experience:o Minimum 5 years as project engineer or assisting a project manager in multi-functional teams in a matrix environment.

• Education:o Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical engineering degree.
