About the Opportunity

The Corporate Communications Department has an immediate opening for a Web Application Development System Analyst Position, reporting to the Web Services Manager.

The Web Application Development System Analyst's primary responsibility is to support the creation of web content for the internet and intranet applications managed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. In this role, the Web Application Development System Analyst:
  • Documents requirements requested for changes to the websites
  • Creates and updates web pages using the content management system
  • Conducts user acceptance testing and smoke testing of enhancements to the site
  • Evaluates, through analytics, the effectiveness of changes made to the site

What You Will Do:

Document Requirements for Changes to the Websites
  • Engage with key stakeholders to gather business requirements and assumptions
  • Collaborate with User Experience team, providing technical feedback
  • Assist with the documentation of requirements as user stories for development and testing
  • Prepare gap analysis documentation using a variety of tools including swim lanes and from/to matrices
  • Adhere to design and style standards for the websites
  • Collaborate with internal clients and a usability team when new content initiatives are proposed
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal Reserve Information Security Standards

Execute Content Updates and Changes on the Websites
  • Input prepared data files, text, graphics and PDFs into the content management system using the content management tool
  • Utilize HTML Code to enhance page interactions, where needed
  • Review and approve new and updated content submitted by web authors in other departments
  • Publish newly staged and updated content at the page level and at the site-section level
  • Upload and publish videos to applicable platforms and ensure all required content accompanies the posting

Conduct Testing
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing of proposed system changes
  • Review smoke testing plans and make recommendations for key test cases
  • Support releases by executing assigned smoke test cases, which may require off-hour deployment
  • Report defects by capturing detailed step-by-step actions, results and expected result

Qualifications:
  • 0 to 3 years experience for associate or 3-5 years experience for intermediate with content management tools and / or HTML code
  • Experience in working with an Agile approach
  • Experience with Power BI and/or Microsoft Office (with an emphasis on Excel)
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Knowledge and experience with process improvement activities
  • Proactive and self-motivated work style, curious and creative problem solving, and an ability to provide clear and concise information to key stakeholders.

  • The hiring range for App Dev Systems Analyst - Associate is $53,100 - $66,400. The hiring range for App Dev Systems Analyst - Intermediate is $67,800 - $84,700.
  • Job title (associate or intermediate) and salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
