About the Opportunity

The Research Department has an immediate opening for a web content analyst (associate to intermediate), reporting to a Publications and Research Communications Manager.

This role directly contributes to the Richmond Fed's efforts to "raise our voice" by updating and maintaining a steady and active flow of Research Department web content, including but not limited to publications, blog posts, event information, multimedia, and data visualizations. The web content analyst will work directly with members of the Research and Corporate Communications teams to deliver timely and dynamic content to the Richmond Fed's external website.

What You Will Do:

  • Build web pages using existing CMS templates
  • Finalize and publish content to external website
  • Consult with economists, research analysts, and writers on effective data visualization, including interactive graphs and maps
  • Upload video and audio content to delivery platforms and embed content in web pages
  • Keep abreast of and implement SEO best practices
  • Partner with Corporate Communications team to understand Federal Reserve System and Bank web standards, practices, and guidelines

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Associate level: Associate degree required; Intermediate level: Bachelor's degree required
  • Basic to moderately specialized, technical skills in applicable technologies such as HTML, SharePoint, Sitecore, Tableau and Everviz
  • Adherence to Bank and System website user experience development methodologies and standards
  • Compliance with Bank and System information security, privacy and audit requirements
  • Commitment to continuous development and learning to keep abreast of web technologies and identify training needs

FRB ethics rules generally prohibit employees and their immediate families from owning investments in banks, savings associations, or their holding companies (Section 5.3). Additionally, employees engaged in Supervision and Regulation may be subject to borrowing and deposit restrictions. These employees may need to recuse themselves from certain supervisory work based on:
    • Their borrowing relationships (Appendix B Parts I.1, II.1 and II.2)
    • If a financial institution employs a member of the employee's immediate family (i.e. spouse, child, parent, or sibling) (Appendix B Part I.3 and Part II.3)
    • If the individual was employed by the financial institution or affiliate within the past 12 months (Appendix B Part I.3 and II.3).
    • In certain cases, the recusal may be so extensive it could materially reduce the effectiveness of the prospective employee's job responsibilities.
  • The hiring range of the Analyst - App Dev Sys - Assoc is $53,100 - $66,400
  • The hiring range of the Analyst - App Dev Sys - Int is $67,800 - $84,700
  • Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
