Roth Jackson is seeking an experienced Paralegal to provide support for our expanding Richmond law office which currently includes a dozen attorneys. Among other duties, you will be expected to:
Assist with preparation of draft documentation for closings and other real estate matters
Analyze contracts and track key deadlines leading up to closing
Communicate with third parties (i.e. title companies, lenders, etc.) regarding title documentation, loan documents, due diligence, and closings
Review due diligence materials (including, but not limited to title documents and surveys)
Prepare title summary memos and/or draft title objection letters
Attend to closing and post-closing matters (including, but not limited to preparation of closing binders - electronic or hard copy, follow-up with title companies for documentation, etc.)
Perform entity formation, corporate filings, and research with the Virginia State Corporation Commission and other entities
Provide other general administrative support and assistance as required, including, but not limited to, billing, setting up new files, printing documents for closings and presentations, drafting correspondence, calendar management, etc.
Qualifications:
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience required
Proficient grammar, proofreading skills, and attention to detail required
College degree or certificate in paralegal studies or equivalent preferred
Previous real estate paralegal experience preferred
Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines
Excellent and professional interpersonal and communication skills
Respect for discretion and confidentiality of matters
Willingness to tackle new tasks with a "can-do" attitude
Commission as a Virginia Notary Public desirable
