Tech Savvy Receptionist Wanted! (Henrico)

Virginia, Richmond 00000 Richmond USA

Vacancy expired!

Small-medium sized local IT firm seeks a hard working Tech Savvy professional to join our fun, dynamic staff. Our team of network engineers, repair techs, and office staff have been servicing businesses, medical practices, and the general public for almost 15 years. We are headquartered in Charlottesville, but are looking for the right individuals to help further our Richmond presence. Our office is located in the near West End, at the intersection of Parham and I-64. This is a real full-time position, not a temp job or contract. For the right candidate, there will be eventual opportunities to advance into a sales, managerial or technical position. Overtime is sometimes a must and usually available if desired. An occasional planned night or weekend shift may be required as well. After a probationary period, employees will be eligible for health + dental insurance and PTO benefits. A college degree is preferred, but candidates with equivalent experience and excellent writing skills may also be considered. Routine duties will include, but are not limited to:

-Answering phone calls & emails

-Accepting and cashing out orders

-Marketing tasks

-Assisting customers via remote support sessions

-Scheduling service calls & projects

-Estimating and invoicing

-Light bookkeeping/accounting

-Assisting with the occasional repair order or service call

-Cleaning & organizing

-General errands

As a smaller company, sometimes there is some overlap in roles. Ideal candidates will possess the following:

-An intermediate to advanced knowledge of general computer literacy, and at least a basic knowledge of diagnostics, repairs, and networking. The stronger the better.

-Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems, email, and productivity software.

-A hard working, can-do attitude

-Willingness to learn new things, and the ability to learn new concepts quickly

-Excellent customer service skills

-The ability to multitask and do well under pressure

-Excellent writing skills

Long story short, we are seeking someone intelligent, well-spoken, fun, and ambitious who loves to work hard and be busy. Time management skills and the ability to stay on task are very important, as there will be expected quotas/milestones to meet during the non-busy times.

Please reply to this posting with a cover letter & resume if interested. Please mention something about the specific position in your email, as we are trying to weed out the machine-gunners.
