CAPREIT owns and manages multifamily housing communities across the U.S. We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for our Overlook at Brook Run apartment community located in Richmond, Virginia.
Responsibilities include:
-Supervising and training maintenance personnel.
-Scheduling service requests and vacant turnovers.
-Establishing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program and handling apartment turn processes, periodic inspections and capital improvements.
-The position requires expertise in all facets of apartment maintenance with the ability to troubleshoot and train others in areas such as individual heat and A/C, water heater repair/replacement, appliance repair/replacement, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, asphalt repairs, roofs, interior and exterior repairs, turnover preparation, drainage, ordering, inventory and scheduling.
-Must be willing to participate in after-hours service calls.
Requirements:
-2+ of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in the multi-family industry
-Valid CFC certification
-CPO Certification
-Must be able to provide his/her own basic tools
-Must be very organized and an effective user of time
-Results-oriented - concerned with getting to the bottom line
-Customer service oriented with the ability to maintain a courteous and professional attitude at all times in communications with residents, co-workers and representatives of other companies/vendors
-Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including weekends, participate in a rotating on-call schedule responding to residents emergency needs after-hours and on the weekends, and available to respond to weather or environmental emergencies
-Must have computer literacy skills
-High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
