  • Partners with IT and business leadership and stakeholders to architect and design systems and processes that also shape and build the foundation.
  • Leads the organization in providing strategic architectural direction for initiatives, such as, Claims Eco-System architecture, Health Data architecture, Medical Management Systems and Data and Integration architecture
  • Responsible to strategically design, configure, implement, and maintain custom developed applications, third-party software and enterprise systems integration within a HIPAA regulated environment
  • Manages technical risk by identifying and advocating for the best possible solution as well as Identify inefficiencies or gaps (data integrity, security, performance, manageability, etc.)
  • Drives design for a secure, efficient, and adaptable future state systems. Ensures that new projects and migrations are in alignment with the IT capital budget, project portfolio, and IT/enterprise strategic goals.
  • Works closely with the business and IT teams (departmental and enterprise teams) to help various teams focus on the big picture approach.
  • Provides in-depth technical consultation to IT executives and senior management to ensure system architecture aligns with the department's strategic direction.
  • As a member of the IT Leadership team, the candidate must be comfortable with driving technical ideas and communicating clearly with technical as well as non-technical audiences.
  • Lead and mentor solution architects, engineers, managers and business teams and individuals.

Desired Experience:
  • Experience in health insurance domain specifically in the areas of Claims, Members, providers, and Medical Management.
  • Proven experience in coming up with solutions keeping the big picture in mind.
  • The position will require in-depth knowledge and experience with enterprise application solutions, including web services, business rules engine, process orchestration etc.
  • Solid understanding on enterprise integration patterns, enterprise integration platform and technologies.
  • Proven experience of data and information driven approach to solving business needs and problems.
  • Experience of working in an Agile development environment
  • Broad technical knowledge, and ability to quickly assimilate new skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to translate technical expressions into easy to understand and clear language
  • Experience in leading Architecture teams along with experience and ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong experience in using Integration patterns and Data design
  • Understanding of architecture governance and solution design management processes
  • Experience working with business process and workflows automation to align end to end processes.
  • Knowledge of application design patterns
  • Strong collaboration and coaching skills

Qualifications Qualifications:
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology with at-least 3 years of work experience as Integration Architect
