Associate Systems Support Specialist - Richmond, VA

OVERVIEW We are looking for an Associate System Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will help improve the productivity of CoStar Group employees by being the first point of contact for internal IT information and problem resolution. This is accomplished by diagnosing and resolving problems with hardware, third-party and proprietary software, internet connectivity, and other issues in a timely and professional manner via telephone, email, remote tools, and hands-on support.Excellent customer service should be your motto. You are a self-starter, problem solver, and excellent communicator. You can clearly explain troubleshooting steps over the phone to customers and are willing to adjust your explanation as needed to resolve issues quickly. You can juggle multiple projects at once, with frequent follow up to the customer. This position is tier 1 IT tech support, with opportunities to move up in our quickly growing company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide guidance, assistance, coordination, and follow up on customer questions, problems or malfunctions of all systems applications, hardware, and software installed and maintained by the company.
  • Participate in telephone support for approximately 6 hours a day. You will be working with other coworkers on phone shift to provide support to users in offices across the US via remote assistance tools.
  • Document problems and solutions in the Service Desk ticketing system
  • Inform management of potential problems and identifies problem trends
  • Assist with hardware installs and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, hard drives etc.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware and software as needed
  • Provide support for audio-visual systems including repair and/or replacement of projectors, etc.
  • Provide videoconference system support
  • Assist the telecom team with phone support
  • Any other duties and special projects as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
  • At least 1 year of experience in IT or at a Service Desk
  • Basic experience supporting Windows 10 workstations, Macs, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite and Windows File Permissions.
  • Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs
PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS AND SKILLS
  • List Skills that we tie to the core competencies for the role
  • Basic experience supporting mobile devices such as iPads, iPhones, etc.
  • Basic experience imaging computers
  • IT certifications or IT-related bachelor's degree is a plus
