In 2008, during the national economic crisis, I found myself seriously ill-prepared for retirement and in need of a new career. It was during that time that I learned about an opportunity to sell final expense insurance (also known as funeral expense insurance). I'd had a previous career in insurance, so there was nothing new to me about the insurance scene. However, what intrigued me was the nature of this type of insurance. This was not just any funeral insurance. Compared to the competition, it was affordable, offered extremely high acceptance rates (97%), and actually delivered on its promises to its policyholders. Plus, it offered a hand-held approach to walk policy-holders through every step and negotiate on their behalf.

My first two years in the business, however, I was lackluster at best. I was not fully vested, and was not giving it what I knew I was capable of.

It was after those mediocre first few years that I reached another crossroads: I either needed to give it my all, or give it up.

During this time, I realized that simply having the "ability to sell" was only half the trick; it was in having the ability to BELIEVE in what you sell, however, that made up the missing component. I knew I was lucky to have both, and that I had a gold mine at my disposal - hence, a product that was desperately needed, and the best available on the market - a product I could truly believe in.

I recognized the opportunity in front of me and decided to commit wholeheartedly, this time, no matter the cost. It was then that I made a life-changing decision with my wife Sandy and, together, create Senior Assurance Group. A few years later, both of our sons, Brad and Jake, followed suit and joined the family business.

Since joining the company in December 2010, our family has, earned FOUR MILLION DOLLARS in commissions and residuals. Yep, you read that right.

Brad (30) and Jake (26) are BOTH making well over $100,000 a year, and their income is continually growing exponentially.
