Client is seeking an experienced project manager to join the PMOTeam in the reporting, metrics, and project oversight role. This will be a long term contract opportunity.
- Local candidates strongly preferred.
- Active PMP certification or VITA PM certification is REQUIRED
- Candidate hired will work ONSITE 50% of the time now, and work ONSITE 100% of the time after restrictions are lifted
- Documented experience in mentoring project managers and administrative project oversight are required.
- Ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing priorities, embracing the changes to provide leadership and guidance.
- We are looking for a self starter who can articulate thoughts and ideas in support of initiatives that are being newly developed.
- Must have experience managing and providing leadership and guidance to project teams, in both Waterfall and Agile settings.
- Proven track record in positively motivating teams and instilling accountability for on-time and within budget and scope.
- Demonstrate understanding of project portfolio, life-cycle management and agile processes.
- Provide SME support for Microsoft Project Professional in an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrate understanding of governance processes, procedures and policies.
- Demonstrate competence in metrics and general knowledge of system administration of POL.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong technical and functional understanding of MS Project, Project Server, POL, SharePoint.
- Familiar with Agile values, principles, processes and methods.
- Experience on a variety of Scrum teams (size, culture, co-located, etc.) Experience using reporting tools to transform and standardize data.
- Strong writing skills.
- Some experience writing and delivering training to project managers is preferred.
- Experience with Communication tools: Planner, MS Teams is helpful.
