The Agency:
HopeTree Family Services has been serving communities throughout Virginia for over 125 years and provides services through several programs, such as:
Developmental Disabilities Ministry: serves adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities
Residential: serves youth and teens
HopeTree Academy: provides direct education to those who do not strive in a public school setting
Foster Care: recruits and trains foster parents and provides placements for foster children
Job Summary:
Our Developmental Disabilities Ministry Program is seeking energetic, professional and caring team members to provide support to residents and clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DSPs assist with providing a happy, healthy, and enriched life within their home and community. Part-Time positions, with the potential of working up to 25 hours per week, are available in our Group Homes, Community Engagement and In-Home Programs at our Salem, VA location.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or GED required
Experience and/or education in mental health, human services or a related field is preferred
Sufficient verbal and written communication skills
Proficient typing and computer skills required
Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and acceptable driving record
