Job Description:
The Leasing Agent is responsible for all aspects, from start to finish, of getting a property into our management system and getting it rented. The tasks include but are not limited to:
-Initial property visits to gather information about the property such as the type of mechanical systems, amenities and other features of the unit.
-Inputting of critical, basic information about the property into our management system
-Taking pictures and writing descriptive copy for the advertising of the property
-Advertising the property
-Scheduling showings and walking prospective tenants through the property. The job hours change based on the showing schedule and some scheduled weekend work is required.
-Getting applications from prospective tenants and be responsible for running the application process all the way through approval or denial.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have previous property management experience, be detail-oriented, be comfortable working independently, have the ability to follow written instructions and have excellent "people skills" for working with prospective tenants.
Applicant Requirements:
Real Estate License either active or inactive but able to be renewed
-Knowledge of fair housing law
-Recent experience in the field of property management
-Excessive attention to detail
-Ability to identify the basic mechanical systems of a home (What type of heat does it have? Does it have central air? Is the water heater gas or electric? Etc)
-EXCELLENT computer and mobile device skills
-Proficiency with email, text, Microsoft Office 365, scanners and other modern programs/equipment used to run a paperless office.
-Salesmanship skills and the desire to take ownership of getting a property rented.
What we offer:
