Overview
Are you ready for a next-level challenge? Our client is one of the leading utility companies in the Washington, DC Metro area. They are looking for an ESRI Architect to help with multiple migrations from Small World to ESRI. This is a multi-year undertaking, and the ideal candidate will have experience implementing proven IT/GIS strategies for platform architectures. This is a major stakeholder initiative and has high visibility and impact. If you are a self-motivated problem solver, team-oriented, and creative thinker, please don't let this long-term role pass you by. This is a remote role, with limited travel to company sites in Northern Virginia or Canada. Our client is unable to offer sponsorship at this time. Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred)
- 5 + years of experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise GIS solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGIS enterprise (desktop, server, and online)
- Ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical project managers or customers
- Proven ability to evaluate and translate a customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions
- Stellar communication skills, both written and verbal
- Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn-you must thrive in a dynamic cross-functional team environment
- Knowledge of and experience with software engineering and/or robust application development principles and practices
- Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analytics, or similar geospatial technology
- Experience with current technology implementation patterns, including service-oriented and cloud computing architecture
