ECS is seeking a
Analytic Methodologist - Senior to work in our Springfield, VA office. Job Description: Primary role for this Data Steward is to manage the customer's geospatial data. The data steward will assist the team in leveraging data to meet mission objectives and will help drive data governance in coordination with the team's Data Governance Council. The incumbent will be responsible for managing all geospatial data-related issues throughout the data life cycle, including creation, evaluation, storage, deletion, documentation and dissemination. The officer in this position will implement data policies, standards, and requirements across the AOR to ensure integrity and quality in the customer's data holdings. The officer selected for this position will work with the customer's senior geospatial analysts, branch content managers, the Data Governance Council and other data professionals to establish and implement sound data management practices. Required Skills:- Demonstrated understanding of GIS, data schemas, and the geo-referencing of information.
- Knowledge of extraction and metadata specifications.
- Knowledge of relational database management system (RDBMS) best practices and performance tuning/optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of enterprise geodatabases, such as Spatial Database Engines (SDEs).
- Knowledge of tools such as the ArcGIS Suite, ArcGIS for Server, Excel, Access, SQK and Oracle for the storage, organization and maintenance of spatial data.
- Knowledge of scripting languages, such as R or Python.
- Demonstrated understanding of cartographic principles.
- Understanding of ArcGIS Online and Portal for managing data.
- Knowledge of Tableau.
- Certifications: GEOINT Professional Certification - Fundamentals
