We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. This role will performs Systems Engineering activities related to Information Technology or Engineering including: concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system & op. performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA). The Senior Systems Engineer will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Your responsibilities will include the following:- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.
- Work with development team Scrum Masters and Tech Leads to translate specifications into development activities that can be performed in an Agile environment.
- Provide specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
- Work with PM, Lead Architect, and development team Scrum Masters and Tech Leads across the program to ensure coordinated development and testing efforts within the overall technical architecture.
- From an information technology perspective, may be concerned with floor layout, power & cooling, data storage, infrastructure management, backup, monitoring, operating systems, directory services, identity management, access management, and automation.
- Active TS/SCI with eligibility and willingness to take a CI polygraph
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 14 years overall experience with demonstrated experience in the following:
- Concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification
- Experience with SCrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models, as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
- Working within Window, Linux, and/or virtual environment
- Utilizing version control or tracking software such as Subversion, Github, JIRA, and/or Confluence
- Experience working in a cloud and/or hybrid environment
- Prior experience working on a scrum team
- Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization
- Understanding of facilitation techniques
