CODIS Operations Analyst to work in our

Stafford, VA office.

Job Description: The ECS Team provides focused agile software development and maintenance for CODIS, a mission-critical application for the FBI. CODIS is a client server application developed using Microsoft .NET that supports a database repository of DNA profiles from individuals, unsolved crime scene evidence, and missing persons. CODIS software allows local, state, and national laboratories to compare DNA profiles electronically, thereby linking serial crimes to each other and identifying suspects by matching DNA profiles from crime scenes to individuals' profiles. Additionally, the CODIS software is used to assist with the identification of unidentified human remains, missing persons and disaster victims. The Operations Analyst will support the DMSS program by providing support in two critical areas - project support and asset management. Responsibilities: Project Support
  • Assist in onboarding process, inclusive of setting up accounts, preparing documentation for badges, and coordination between ECS HQ and incoming new employees
  • Coordinate recruiting activities with ECS and all subcontractors affiliated with the CODIS DMSS Program
  • Track training needs and contractual obligations for LCAT certification requirements; coordinate with QA Manager if there any deficiencies
  • Coordinate efforts between CODIS Program and ECS Corporate (i.e. Accounting, Timekeeping, IT, Contracts, Procurements, Facilities, Security, etc.)
Asset Management
  • Identify, control, and maintain baselined Configuration Items (CIs)
  • Conduct internal CM audits of assigned projects
  • Maintain asset inventory (hardware, software)
  • Manage application licenses used by all stakeholders on the CODIS Program
  • Support BOM process, including drafting BOMs for new requirements, and renewals
  • Support the System Support Team with systems administration support as assigned

Required Skills:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • BS preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and team-oriented skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Capable of working independently as well as an effective team member
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking ability, problem solving skills and a consistent record of on time delivery and customer service
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to manipulate various sizes of data with accuracy and focus

Desired Skills:
  • Working knowledge of MS Products including Excel, SharePoint, and Word
  • Experience editing technical documentation
