Description SAIC is seeking an experienced Business & Data Analyst (BDA) to join the SAIC team in Sterling, VA. The BDA is a critical role bridging the gap between current and future business requirements by leveraging sophisticated data modeling tools, business intelligence, and program analytics. The BDA will focus on improving business processes, operations and service delivery efficiencies, serving as an intermediary between business and IT operations within the program. The successful candidate will be well versed in various data modeling methodologies with extensive expertise with data consolidation, manipulation, visualization, and presentation. The BDA will succeed by leveraging previous experience in supporting a CIO or senior IT executive(s) evaluating and analyzing business value while helping to identify cost drivers to maximize value. The BDA, as individual contributor, will be team-oriented and possess strong communication skills to collaborate with internal process owners and engineers constantly identify new data scenarios. The right candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Collect, process, and perform statistical data analysis on business and IT operations
  • Work with internal stakeholders to align data analytics with business needs and requirements
  • Develop data models to continuously run ad hoc scenarios to optimize future operations
  • Develop and maintain data visualization reports for program leadership and external stakeholders as needed
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to constantly look for new data sets to analyze for potential gains or efficiencies
  • Develop and document data collection processes to be leveraged throughout the program
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience Position Requirements:
  • Direct experience supporting IT operations, managed services or performance analytics \
  • Advanced Excel skills Power BI or Tableau certifications preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • CBP Clearance required to start - Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

DESIRED:
  • Advanced degree in analytics or data modeling
  • Previous experience supporting service desk, global IT Ops, or IT Service Management
