RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Sterling, VA that is seeking a Senior Software Developer that will be providing full-stack development support for of one or more projects. The Senior Software Developer will be contributing code and peer reviews, fixing bugs and providing documentation, and also employing Agile best practices and participating in ceremonies.
Responsibilities: Active member of the software development team participating in the daily stand-ups Full-stack development expertise, capable of hands-on contributions that range from client development of markup and styling to OS level services, and server-side containers and database technologies Support docker desktop containers and services such as Kubernetes or Konvoy Database support for PostgreSQL, possibly SQLServer with Entity Framework code-first or database-first Distributed system design and development with Microsoft .NET environment in support of ASP.NET applications and hosted services Document software designs, which may include design diagrams, data flow diagrams, software module descriptions, etc. Use Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tools to include VSCode and GIT Provide Tier 3 / 4 engineering support, as needed, for solutions deployed to productionREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a directly related field is required(4 years of experience in lieu of degree) 9+ years of experience Expertise in the design and development of ASP.NET applications and hosted services Practical experience with design pattern implementations, including service locater and dependency injection Client user interface applications experience with VueJS and/or ReactJS (JavaScript frameworks) Familiar with build pipelines, including Jenkins with SonarQube Excellent troubleshooting and resolution skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in team environments across a diverse set of projects with multiple stakeholders Proactive approach to problem solving and a delivery mindset Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information Applicants must be fully authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship AWS and Mobile platform development experience nice to haveExperience with: Middleware and User Interface driven applications Agile development Git, Git Tools, including GitLab .NET 6 development Docker experience Entity Framework with code-first or database-first PostgreSQL or SQLServer Jenkins build pipeline with SonarQube VueJS or ReactJS JSON and YAML Bootstrap and BootstrapVue or React-Bootstrap Node.js/NPM/Yarn HTML SASS, LESS and CSS HTTP(S) stack Webpack, Babel, Polyfill, etc. RESTFul HTTP Programming Multi-threaded applications and exception handling Entity Framework and Code-First SignalR Hub or similar Serilog or similar Nuget, Yum and other package managers Jenkins, Jira, Confluence Webpack, Babel, Polyfill, etc. PowerShell, Python and/or Bash Docker and Linux experienceThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
