- Installing outlets, pulling cable, fire stopping and pre-termination, including organizing, forming, dressing, and labeling cables to industry standards
- Install CAT5, Enhanced CAT5, CAT6, and Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution
- Terminate, assemble, and install 8-pin modular connectors and coaxial connectors, light crimp connectors, and optical fiber ST and/or SC ceramic connectors
- Test copper and fiber (multimode and single mode) cables to required certification parameters
- Diagnose and correct copper fiber issues
- Removal/demolition of abandoned cables
- Perform site surveys, read and use blueprints, conduct visual site inspections
- Perform cable splices for copper and optical fiber (mechanical and fusion)
- Perform and supervise work in retrofit and new construction environment, implement cut-overs
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience working in Central Office, Co-locations, and/or Headend environment, with references
- Experience with DC Power equipment
- Must be fully vaccinated and wear a mask
- Must have reliable transportation to drive to the client sites (partial mileage reimbursement provided)
- Must be able to work flexible shifts (occasionally there will be some night work)
