Job Summary

This position will report to the Manager - Nuclear Projects SLR (Subsequent Licensing Renewal). The assigned area of responsibility will be managed to ensure compliance with legal requirements, and in accordance with established company policies and procedures. The selected candidate will provide leadership and direction to the SLR Construction Support team that will support extending the operating life of Surry Power Station for safe, cost effective and efficient nuclear power station operations for decades to come.

In addition, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Responsible for oversight and supervision of Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) project work activities at the station, including overseeing contract supervisors and their staff.

• Supervise, coordinate, and direct construction tasks involving project planning/coordination, design change packages, rigging, scaffolding, electrical, mechanical, insulation material handling, painting and facility maintenance support for the station.

• Ensure work is completed in a safe and timely manner, in accordance with standards, plans and specifications.

• Direct and coordinate daily construction activities for compliance with safety, Human Performance tools, ALARA, quality standards, schedules, and budget.

• Track and prepare project budgets.

• Interface with other station departments to ensure efficient coordination of work activities while adhering to the station's work management processes and procedures.

• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and design changes.

• Review assigned projects for constructability, methodology and test sequencing.

• Provide input for construction status and provide status updates as necessary both verbally and written.

• Provide technical assistance in implementing plant modifications.

• Provide project team communications in a confident manner during station leadership meetings that may include the Plant Health Steering Committee, Outage Integration Team meetings, Challenge Review Boards, Project Funding Review Board meetings and Executive Risk Review Board meetings.

• Facilitate the hiring and administration of construction support personnel.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3 and above, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined are strongly encouraged to apply.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Bachelor degree and 7+ of relevant nuclear power experience which must be in either themechanical, electrical, civil/structural or construction management field OR;

Associate degree and 9+ of relevant nuclear power experience which must be in either the mechanical, electrical, civil/structural or construction management field OR;

High School Diploma/GED anddegree and 11+ of relevant nuclear power experience which must be in either the mechanical, electrical, civil/structural or construction management field

In addition:

2+ years of experience in a people or project leadership role.

Familiarity with processes and procedures required to implement physical modifications to the facility.

Understanding and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, structural and/or facilities systems and processes. This includes mechanical systems, piping, pressure vessels and welding, electrical systems, electrical components and installation standards, civil components, rigging, material handling and installation standards, and/or facility maintenance, plumbing, vehicle maintenance and building codes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to organize resources to achieve SLR and station goals.

Demonstrates high level of ownership for their responsibilities, persist through adversity, and follow through with commitments.

Maintains appropriate oversight of his/her personnel and team members and acts promptly to provide direction when necessary.

Demonstrated ability to understand a wide variety of topics and be sufficiently intrusive to ensure all work items under their area of responsibility are produced with the highest of quality including technical accuracy.

Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications. A Master's Degree will count as one year toward the years of experience.

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor , Disciplines: Preferred: Civil Engineering,Electrical Engineering,Engineering,Construction Management,Mechanical Engineering , Other Education: Engineering

North Anna and Surry must meet DOM-QA-1, Appendix C, Section 2.4, ANSI 3.1 12/79, Section 4.3.2.bMillstone must meet ANSI N18-1-1971, Section 4.3.2Preferred completion of Dominion Power Station Electrical/Mechanical Development Program Nuclear (PSMPDN-Electrical or PSMPDN-Mechanical)
