Join a growing and dynamic environmental services company in Abingdon, VA! MXI Environmental Services is looking to grow it's staff as the company launches new waste recycling programs.
We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a science background to work recycling and responsibly managing our incoming waste materials. This is the definition of a "Green Job." It is dirty but exciting, fun, and the company is growing.
Our company is on the cutting edge of waste recycling. We primarily manage household hazardous waste events (HHW) throughout the country. The material is collected at regional one day events and transported to our Materials Recovery Facility in Abingdon, VA. From there we recycle what we can and responsilibty manage the rest in a manner compliant with all EPA, OSHA, and DOT standards.
Job Responsibilities include:
-Earning a 40 Hour HAZWOPER training certificate
-Learning how to sort materials by hazard class
-Confined space entry
-Identifying unknown materials
-Bulking hazardous liquids
-Sorting and screening incoming waste for recyclable material
-Assisting and training lower level technicians
-Assisting in field collections
Any experience is a plus and we are willing to accept entry level graduates.
