Basic Purpose The Principle Engineer - Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist will lead the engineering and implementation of foundational MDM technology in support of Navy Federal's Member/Customer master data management initiatives. In this capacity, the incumbent will develop strategies for data acquisition, cleansing and mastering of Navy Federal customer data. He/She will be responsible for designing, building, integrating data from various systems in creating customer master record. The incumbent will develop and implement complex matching/merging and survivorship rules for member data mastering, while ensuring they are easily scalable, performant, and accurate, with the goal of optimizing the performance of Navy Federal's master data ecosystem. Recognized as an expert with a specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in Master Data Management technology discipline. Solves highly complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions. Leads functional teams or projects. Works independently.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with engineering teams across ISD to implement a scalable and flexible Master Data Management technology foundation• Collaborate with business and ISD stakeholders to design and implement match/merge/survivorship data mastering algorithms for creation of the Member Golden Record• Define and build Member master data integration processes to be used across the organization to create a 360 degree view of Member behaviors and interactions• Build conceptual and logical Member domain data models for stakeholders and management• Work directly with business leadership to understand Member centric master data governance and data quality requirements; propose and develop solutions that enable effective decision-making and drives business objectives• Prepare advanced project implementation plans which highlight major milestones and deliverables, leveraging standard methods and work planning tools • Analyze and interpret collected data; spotting trends; writing reports and recommendations for internal or external clients• Recognize potential issues and risks during the analytics project implementation and suggest mitigation strategies • Coach and mentor project team members in carrying out analytics project implementation activities • Lead the preparation of high-quality project deliverables that are valued by the business and present them in such a manner that they are easily understood by project stakeholders• Use statistical practices to analyze current and historical data to make predictions, identify risks, and opportunities enabling better decisions on planned/future events• Communicate and own the process of manipulating and merging large datasets • Apply engineering principles into the design and enhancement of new and existing data management systems• Ensure the security and integrity of system and product solutions including compliance with Navy Federal, industry engineering and Information Security principles and practices• Present clear, organized and concise information to all audiences through a variety of media to enable effective business decisions• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience• Proven experience in at least one full lifecycle implementation of a Customer domain Master Data Management project• Experience in architecting, designing, and configuring solutions with Informatica MDM multi-domain edition AND one of the 360 solutions (Customer, Cloud/Customer for Salesforce, Product, Supplier, Reference)• Experience in designing and architecting integrations between Informatica MDM and other systems using standard connectors, publish-subscribe, real-time messaging, RESTful APIs, and other mechanisms• Highly Adept in core MDM functionalities such as Match, Merge, Survivorship, Trust Scores, Hierarchy and External Match knowledge of MDM Real Time and Batch load• Experience with SIF and API services, Java and Web Services and hand-on experience in Azure Cloud infrastructure• Advanced skill in Microsoft Cosmos DB, Microsoft Azure, Informatica, and MS Office Products• Novice skill level in Python, Agile Frameworks (SAFe), Microsoft Databricks, Azure Data Factory• Ability to understand the business problem and determine what aspects of it require optimization; articulate those aspects in a clear and concise manner• Ability to understand other projects or functional areas in order to consolidate analytical needs and processes• Demonstrates change management and/or excellent communication skills • Understands data warehousing, data cleaning, data pipelines and other analytical techniques required for data usage• Demonstrates deep understanding of multiple data related concepts• Working knowledge of various data structures and the ability to extract data from various data sources • Understands the concepts and application of data mapping and building requirements• Understands data models, large datasets, business/technical requirements, BI tools, data warehousing, statistical programming languages and libraries• Demonstrates functional knowledge of data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau• Working knowledge of various data structures and the ability to manipulate data within visualization tools• Ability to manipulate raw data into effective visualization dashboards• Ability to communicate end to end data outcomes visually• Skilled in managing the process between updating and maintaining data source systems and implementing data related requirements

Salary range: [$98,600] to [$139,400]
