Basic Purpose The Resource Manager works closely with the Service Owner, Manager, Service Manager(s), and Support Lead(s) to prioritize and ensure delivery of the teams directives, standards, tools, and services by removing impediments, facilitating team meetings and events, and fostering an environment for high performance. The Resource Manager is also responsible for completion of team deliverables and milestones. Routinely and independently coordinate allocation of resources to external service projects and initiatives and collaborate with engineers for Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Engagement ceremonies. Accountable for balancing the mix of NFCU talent and partner talent to ensure appropriate work is done by the appropriate resources.

Responsibilities

• Establish adequate/skilled staffing by identifying the skills required to fulfill project roadmaps and milestones and provide a steady availability of high-quality resources• Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (vendors, etc.)• Coordinate availability and monitoring activities and ensure coverage for execution of scheduled maintenance activities• Collaborate with Service Manager, Support Lead(s), and customers to help identify and clarify scope of problems/issues in terms of business/systems requirements and processes• Help the team embrace SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) core values, adopt, and apply SAFe principles and implement SAFe practices• Eliminate impediments where possible and provide the team a path towards Definition of Done• Facilitate the team's progress towards team goals and process improvements• Ensure that goals, scope, and product backlog items are understood and can be fulfilled by team members• Establish staff performance goals and priorities for staff• Ensure staff are provided training sessions and workshops to further skill sets• Prepare, conduct, and review performance appraisals• Develop, mentor, and counsel staff• Provide input and/or prepare budget requirements for Annual Financial Plan (AFP)• Ensure efficiency of established operations• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Moderate to extensive experience leading Agile development teams and facilitating team meetings in Agile environment• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of development or operations framework methodologies, including Agile principles• Moderate to extensive experience in leading, guiding, and coaching junior to senior level staff• Moderate to extensive experience in project leadership and execution, including initiatives with technology, processes, cross-functional teams, and external partner team members• Moderate to extensive experience in resource allocation and management• Intermediate to advanced verbal and written communication skills• Intermediate to advanced presentation skills• Intermediate to advanced organizational, planning, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of cloud native development/engineering• Previous experience in working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors• Intermediate to advanced knowledge in budget planning and execution• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of large-scale Information Technology (IT) organization• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Desired Qualifications

• Moderate to extensive working knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and services (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP)• Proficient in software development and/or system administration• In-depth knowledge and experience in Banking/Finance/Investments, familiar with terminology, concepts, and business processes and systems• Familiarity with finance industry standards and regulations• Master's degree in Information Technology

Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range, based on your experience, location and market position.

The salary range for this position is: $92,900 - $160,400

Due to COVID-19 and social distancing, this position will be temporarily working from home with plans to return to campus at the desired location listed once Navy Federal is back to normal operations. The specific logistics for returning to campus will be determined at a future date by individual leadership
