Basic Purpose The Data Product Testing CoE Engineer plans and manages processes through the life cycle of data analytics, advocates for data integrity and availability, and drives resolution of issues that impede the quality assurance effort. This role will work in the Enterprise Data and Information Management team in the Information Services Department. The candidate will have experience with managing testing efforts across multiple data products and bring to market related enterprise capabilities in cloud. Require experience with integration, regression, performance, and functional testing to ensure compliance with business requirements and Navy Federal business practices. Must cultivate effective engagement with business stakeholders on User Acceptance Testing to ensure deliverables meet expectations. Assist in the analysis of functional and technical requirements and creating test plans for data products. Have ability to drive initiatives independently.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in Testing CoE (Center of Excellence) for enterprise data analytics products o Ensure timelines/deadlines/quality of deliverables o Ensure processes and procedures are in place to drive quality through the software development life cycle o Implement best practices and service metrics o Design and implement robust and scalable test automation solutions within a DevOps and CICD environment to improve testing quality o Recommend quality improvement initiatives for the future• Lead testing from inception to completion of successful production implementation o Develop test plan/scope/schedule/cost/communications o Write automation test plans, identify test cases, document testing strategy o Create, modify and/or locate the data and conditions needed to execute test cases o Modify, coordinate, and schedule input to maintain the test environments o Create and edit test cases in accordance with business requirements o Test APIs, data workflows, and data analytics solutions o Identify areas for improved testing processes o Facilitate defect management and resolution o Report testing metrics including time spent, testing time lost, and discrepancies found• Ensure clear, concise, and effective communication of material• Promote agile principles and methodology• Risk, Issue and Change Management• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience• Experience in test automation for data products in Cloud such as Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Hub, Master Data Management, and others• Experience working in data product test teams through the life cycle from analyzing functional requirements through delivery to production• Expert knowledge of continuous integration and deployment and tools chain (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)• Knowledge of development or operations framework methodologies, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), etc.• Experience in testing data integration processes• Experience with Agile software development practices and tools including Scrum, Azure Boards, JIRA, Git, CI/CD, etc.• Experience with executing test plans on Cloud data services (e.g., Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory)• Experience in software development with proficiency in relevant coding languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Java)• Experience designing, implementing, and validating test plans• Experience writing test automation scripts• Experience with test management tools (e.g., Azure Test Plans, Quality Center)• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman)• Experience with application performance monitoring and observability tools (e.g., LoadRunner)• Experience in testing complex systems including various data analytics platforms in Cloud (Azure, AWS, etc.)• Experience in working with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, etc.)• Knowledge of master data/reference data technologies and implementation approaches• Knowledge of NoSQL• Attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects• Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills• Organizational, planning and time management skills• Ability to work independently and in a team environment• Effective skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience• Expert knowledge of banking/financial industry trends, products, and services• Expert knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies, and procedures• Experience or knowledge working with Azure Cloud• Experience or knowledge with testing automation• Experience or knowledge of working in an Agile environment

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report onsite 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting onsite will ultimately be determined by the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and onboarding process.

Salary: The salary range for this position is: $116,800 to $163,500 Annual
