Offered as a a long-term contract, this Bookkeeper position will be based in the Virginia Beach, Virginia area.Key responsibilitiesSettle accounts by reconciling entries
Maintain quality historical records by filing documents
Care for accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
Craft Accounts Receivable invoices, reviewing payments received, and record deposits
Manage and review general ledger
Manage a well-organized system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures
Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
Requirements - 2+ years of previous experience as a Bookkeeper
Prior experience working with accounting software
Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
Credit Memo experience
Cash Handling experience preferred
Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel
Cash Disbursements experience desired
Expertise in Sage 100
Proven knowledge of Process Refunds
General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
