Job Description

As a Senior Federal Technology Architect with Cerner Government Services, you will be responsible for evaluating existing and proposed systems and system enhancements to determine requirements and ensure client integration solutions meet organizational needs. You will design and develop solutions to integrate applications between Cerner and federal client systems. Create and document visual representations of systems and their inputs and outputs, partner with Cerner and client delivery teams to implement integration solutions within defined project scope. You will also collaborate with engineering teams, development teams, client end users and other stakeholders as appropriate. As a Senior Federal Technology Architect you will also troubleshoot and debug system issues to increase integration performance, quality of data, and system uptime. We're looking for someone who thrives on working with large scale, distributed systems and is always looking for ways to automate manual tasks. Working Environment Hybrid or Remote This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. If you are not within a metro area of a Cerner office, you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. #LI-Hybrid #Remote

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education
    • At least 2 years of system engineering and/or system architecture work experience
    • At least 6 years of additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
      • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a DevOps or SRE organization
  • Experience with shell scripting
  • Experience managing production systems running Linux and/or UNIX
  • Experience with a public cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with monitoring platforms like Zabbix or New Relic
  • Familiarity with a log aggregation and analysis platform like Splunk or Kibana
  • Hands-on experience implementing and/or operating a business-critical distributed system like Kubernetes, Hadoop, HDFS, Yarn, HBase, Cassandra, Kafka, Storm, or Solr.
  • Experience with an object-oriented dynamic programming language like Ruby or Python
Expectations:
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to an already virtually approved location
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
