The ideal candidate will come from a operations/network background and have moved into a development role with experience in DevOps. Candidates should have a proven background developing in an enterprise environment.

Job Responsibilities:

5+ years of development experience coding in Java or other open sourced framework
Strong scripting experience with either Python, Powershell, Bash
Linux/UNIX Systems experience
Previous experience supporting Network Operations Center
Collaborate with software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web- and desktop-based business applications built on open source development stacks.
Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
Package and support deployment of releases.

Desired Skills and Experience:

5+ years experience as software developer
Experience with 2 of the following: Java, Python, Oracle or SQL
Unit testing experience
Agile/SCRUM methodology
