We're looking for a talented Lead Tester for our industry-leading client in McLean. You will supervise testing, provide hands-on support as needed, and ensure data quality.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities of the Lead Tester:- Define test strategy and scenarios to ensure data quality
- Ensure test cases and data are developed to meet all data and system execution scenarios
- Lead testing team to develop good testing artifacts and complete testing as expected
- Prepare test reports that identify and communicate issues and recommendations as necessary
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related
- At least 5 years of experience in back end data operations testing within the financial services industry
- At least 5 years of data analysis experience, with a combination of business and technical skills
- At least 5 years of experience writing and executing SQL, strong Python and SAS
- Experience with test automation tools
- Ability to write test strategies and scenarios and RTM
- Proactive, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA
- Visio and Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- PySpark is good to have
