Valley Proteins, Inc. is looking for a District Transportation Manager stationed at their Winchester, VA location.

If you have the following, they want to hear from you:

S. in Business, Logistics or a related field of study, is preferred

5+ years of Transportation Management or Logistics experience required

Proficient with MS Office products and various computer systems, such as, ELD, TMS, DMS, etc.

Expert knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations

Travel required

Job Summary:

Plays a critical role in the Supply chain organization and is responsible for delivering costs savings, elevated customer experiences and coordinating product movements among company locations

Maximize operational efficiency using defined metrics continuously improving operational performance and optimization

Make regular visits to all assigned Divisions/Substations to cultivate best practices and consistent operations

Support the General Manager and the Transportation Department with meeting established goals and objectives by leading, mentoring, coaching, and training team members

Prepare and analyze reports in order to drive continuous process improvements and cost reductions

Ensure assigned Divisions have all of the fleet equipment needed to accomplish their assigned workload and meet customer service expectations

Coordinate with fleet maintenance management to assist with prioritization of fleet equipment repairs
