Basic Purpose Navy Federal Credit is searching for a senior Enterprise Security Architect (ESA) to join the Office of the CTO high performance Technology and Strategy Architecture (TSA) Group. ESA experts will have high level consulting and collaboration skills that will enable them to drive alternative analysis and trade-off discussions with stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a technology and process experience in the areas of security technology architecture, enterprise security frameworks, reference architectures and designs patterns, planning and implementation reference methodologies, and security architecture requirements and standards. The selected ESA candidate will be involved in the entire ideation process; beginning with working with Information Security and Business Stakeholders to understand needs, as opposed to wants, and then throughout the process to translate those needs into security technology architecture capabilities verified to meet the needs.

Responsibilities:• Accelerate standardization of security services by working with Business, IT and Security stakeholders in the specification, generalization, documentation and enforcement of security architecture requirements.• Develop security approaches and solutions balanced with business imperatives, conducts risk-based security architecture reviews, assist in documenting security architecture solutions and provides recommendations on how to proceed with implementation.• Serve as one of the Enterprise Security Architecture subject matter expert for enterprise level defense-in-depth posture applications, roadmaps, and governance. • Assess projects and business cases for information security architectural significance. • Develop and incorporate business aligned new information security reference architectures and patterns • Facilitate the decision making in the determination of information security product selections for the firm Job Functions• Provide security architecture guidance to product architecture and processes • Bring security to the Enterprise Architecture methods and processes • Identify security gaps ad risks in Navy Federal services protection strategy and implementation, and develop approaches to resolve these gaps. • Identify enterprise-wide application security standards, patterns, shared components and design architecture blueprints to ensure secure integration and exchange of data between applications, clients and partners. • Lead the architecture, design and implementation of standard security infrastructure solutions and components that support the overall enterprise architecture and strategic directions.• Assist in the development of enterprise security modernization roadmap • Partner with key enterprise security stakeholders in the development of enterprise security strategy, principles, best practices, standards, guidelines and the design of blueprints to standardize shared security components and patterns

Experience/Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field • 8+ years of experience in information systems security • CISSP or other relevant professional certifications (ISSAP is a plus)• Expert knowledge in defining security architecture requirements, threat modeling and risk management • Expert knowledge of security architectural mechanisms, components, and integration with IT components and operations • Strong knowledge of application/data security, web and application design, databases, microservices, container technology, system integration technologies and securing cloud-based applications. • Strong knowledge of industry technology, security standards and new trends for cloud aware information security such as Zero Trust SASE (Secure Access Service Edge).• Experience with Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Security Architecture principles and processes (O-ESA, TOGAF, Zachman, FEA/FEAF, )• Ability to establish relationships with business, IT leaders and technology subject matter experts • Ability to lead and work closely with different teams, able to learn quickly, meet deadlines and demonstrate advance problem solving and analytical skills • Ability to update job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging technology and security practices and standards. • Good interpersonal skills that include the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with technical and non-technical personnel at all levels.

Salary: $109,900 - $187,900

Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range, based on your experience, location and market position.

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report onsite 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting onsite will ultimately be determined by the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
