Job Description

The

Clinical Supervisoris responsible for providing clinical supervision of clinicians, and collaborating on case conceptualization, treatment planning, discharge planning, and therapeutic interventions. Responsible for providing effective leadership to the clinical staff and licensed clinicians, has knowledge of the organization, provides supervision.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supports and guides therapists to ensure high quality clinical care of patients.
  • Ensures therapists are aligned and using the Discovery Behavioral Health’s Clinical Model.
  • Attends clinical meetings to assist in information sharing, and collaborate on patient cases.
  • Meets with each clinical staff weekly.
  • Supervises students completing field placement.
  • Supervises therapists’ casework and clinical interventions.
  • Reviews therapists’ documentation to ensure quality and timely documentation.
  • Supports in clinical interventions with patients, as needed.
  • Responsible for carrying a case load, as needed.
  • Builds positive relationships with all program staff and physicians.
  • Works collaboratively with leadership in the program to promote efficient and effective functioning of the program.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of administrative and clinical policies and procedures and has the ability to communicate these clearly and accurately to clinicians.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of emergency procedures and has ability to communicate these procedures clearly and accurately.
  • Reviews the admission and/or patient intake process and looks for ways to be more efficient and patient-centered.
  • Review, assess, and evaluate patient treatment plans and clinical records.
  • Review, assess, and evaluate patient discharge planning.
  • Ensures clinical staff meets educational/licensure requirements.
  • Evaluates clinical staff based on specified performance standards, on a timely basis.
  • Implements plans for performance improvement, as needed, and provides coaching to all therapists to promote a continuous growth and learning mindset.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.
  • Promotes and supports a safe and therapeutic environment for all staff and patients.
  • Familiarizes and adopts the Philosophy, Mission, Goals, and Objectives of the Discovery Behavioral Health’s treatment programs.
  • Must refrain from comments and actions that directly contradict Discovery Behavioral Health’s treatment model and philosophy on inclusive treatment for all individuals.
  • Full adherence to the Discovery Behavioral Health’s policies and procedures.
  • Full adherence to health code policies, Joint Commission, HIPAA and licensing regulations, including mandated trainings.
  • Full adherence to infection control guidelines.
  • Complies with Discovery Behavioral Health’s dress code.
  • Engages in ongoing professional development, including but not limited to attending monthly staff meetings and trainings.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally with all members of the Treatment Team.
  • Serves as a positive role model to employees, clients, and guests through a caring and professional attitude.
  • Completes job tasks in a timely and accurate manner as assigned.
  • Be aware of and maintain professional and personal boundaries at all times.
  • Provides quality customer service in all interactions.
  • Willingness to evaluate personal processes and receive constructive feedback to remain professional.
  • Must be able to work with and communicate with persons with differing multicultural backgrounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

This is a part time position.

Qualifications

Masters’ Degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, or health-related field. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience with familiarity of continuous Quality Improvement and Joint Commission standards. Must hold appropriate state licensure Meet supervisory requirements of the state
