Position Classification Description
Position: Credentialing Coordinator / Office Assistant
Summary:
Our credentialing team is seeking a full time employee, with an upbeat and friendly personality, who is highly motivated and has experience in the basics of a medical office setting. This individual will be responsible in assisting the team with day to day operations and additional tasks as designated.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Answer phones, scan, fax, email and basic office assistant duties.
2. Data entry, manage and maintain providers on-line credentialing profiles.
3. Follow up with insurance companies through phone, and email regularly.
4. Maintain clinic spreadsheets with up to date work flow processes.
5. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
HIPAA compliant
Ability to communicate in a clear, professional and timely manner.
Close attention to detail is a must
Self-starter and strong customer service skills is a priority.
Computer literate (Word, Excel and Outlook experience is beneficial)
Minimum Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum one year of experience in a medical/healthcare office setting.
Preferred, but not required:
Credentialing and/or billing experience
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
