MB Motors in Ferndale is now accepting applications for a full-time Accountant/Bookkeeper. Preferred candidate must have an enthusiastic and energetic work ethic. Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

Documents financial transactions by entering account information.

Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.

Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.

Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.

Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Maintains financial security by following internal controls.

Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Other administrative tasks as may get assigned by the owner. Qualifications include:

At least 8 years of relevant experience.

Accounting Degree is a must.

Ability to work accurately in a fast pace environment.

Ability to multi-task, and work with multi businesses environment.

Drug free work environment.

Excellent Communication skills.

Experience in bookkeeping and tracking of financial transactions.

Extensive Experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word,etc)

Good organization, scheduling and time management skills.

Previous experience with administrative duties in an office setting preferred.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with a typing speed of at least 40 wpm.

Qualified candidates must pass a background check with a good driving record.
