WECU is seeking a System Administrator to join our Information Technology team located in Bellingham, WA. This role is responsible for assuring and maintaining the proper performance of designated systems, applications and auxiliary devices. Acts as the primary administrator for designated systems, informing/training staff on changes, adding/deleting/updating tools and/or security.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

-Acts as a resource for and determines solutions to maintain and administer designated systems.

-Works to coordinate changes in or additions to equipment, programs and systems; acts as beta “ site manager for designated systems as needed.

-Logs/tracks system errors and problems with designated systems.

-Acts as a resource for technical and e-commerce compliance issues or will refer to the Information Security Officer if necessary.

-Responsible for training IT employees on designated systems and their auxiliary devices.

-Advises committees on system requirements for special projects and manages technical projects as assigned.

-Responsible for ensuring all affected staff are trained or updated in use of computer programs and hardware that relate to designated systems.

-Responsible for keeping designated systems resources updated. This includes staying current in knowledge of these systems, keeping systems and documentation updated, keeping users updated on new features of these systems, and/or obtaining outside expertise when necessary.

-Responsible for annual budgets pertaining to designated systems. This includes maintenance contracts, planning, evaluation, and purchases of software and/or hardware to assure reliable performance of these systems.

-Liaison to all outside vendors and support centers to interface other computer systems with the designated systems.

-Consults with staff on long-range issues of technology use and planning for designated systems.

-Acts as a liaison between IT and end users.

-Responds to escalated Service Desk incidents and problems related to designated systems.

-Follows policy and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) daily to ensure compliance with current regulations. Follows policy and procedures related to SARs by reporting suspicious activity to the Compliance department. Responsible for filling out an incident report for detected computer intrusion of Credit Union computer systems per Bank Secrecy Act. Completes mandatory BSA/AML annual training via online web course.

-Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION:

Education and Experience

-Successful completion of high school level math and reading. Data processing courses preferred.

Skills

-A minimum of four years computer experience.

-SQL experience required.

-Ability to operate computer hardware and detect and resolve operation problems.

-Ability to prioritize and complete multiple jobs simultaneously.

-Must have the ability to supervise and motivate employees to ensure efficient workflow. A high level of interpersonal skills necessary to represent credit union in a positive fashion when dealing with teller/member transactions.

-Interpersonal skills to represent credit union positively in dealing with management, supervisors, and staff.

-Ability to represent the credit union in a positive, professional manner in person, on the telephone, and in written correspondence.
