NuGen Seed, LLC is a unique company that grows hydroponically produced mini-tubers and early generation seed potatoes. The hydroponic mini-tubers are produced in a state of the art greenhouse and tissue culture lab. NuGen is a growing company that prides itself on its innovation, cleanliness, and quality. We are currently looking to add a team member into the role of Greenhouse Technician.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Cleaning and preparing greenhouse facility for planting
Transition potato plantlets from growing media into hydroponic trays
Harvesting multiple varieties of potato mini-tubers
Counting, grading, and sorting of potato mini-tubers
Requirements:
We are a drug free workplace with regular drug testing
Must be able to pass a background check
Valid Washington State Driver's License
Must be proficient in English
Strong attention to detail & cleanliness
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Detail oriented self-starter
High School Degree required, addition schooling preferred.
Horticultural knowledge a plus
Greenhouse/laboratory experience preferred
Compensation depends on experience
Part time job with potential for full time
