Summary:
Manages the branchs operations with accountability for sales, customer service, profitability, productivity and loss prevention. Communicates and enforces store goals and policies and ensures compliance with security, sales, safety, and recordkeeping practices. Provide coaching, training and direction to ensure branch sales, customer service, profitability, and asset management goals are met. Ensures all company policies, safety standards, and procedures related to employees and operations are followed. Disciplines as appropriate. Oversees store housekeeping, maintenance, and repair.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures all branch employees are following all procedures, policies, safety standards, and work instructions.
Assist in the hiring, training, performance management including twice annual performance reviews. And corrective actions when needed.
Resolve customer issues, complaints and transactions when necessary.
Assist in the planning of forecasting inventory needs with purchasing and the sales staff, ensuring adequate product inventory is available and in good condition.
Resolve operations issues or concerns by communicating with Regional Operations Manager VP of Equipment Sales and or VP of Operations.
Ensure House account sales are being monitored and accounts are being worked and transferred over to sales team when appropriate.
Review branch P&Ls with Regional Operations Manager and provide guidance and direction to help deficient areas get back on track.
Work with Region Manager/Equipment Manager, and Territory Sales Managers to enable branch to achieve overall sales goals.
Keep current with monthly cycle counts and keep dead stock at an minimum.
Ensure that all branch employees receive training for their roles.
Ensure branch is clean, organized, safe, and are properly stocked.
Ensure delivery routes and schedules are relevant at their branch.
Works to meet goals set on Annual Branch Managers Bonus.
Education/Experience/Skills:
Product Knowledge and understanding the Refrigeration and HVAC industries.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask.
Good Judgment.
Strong leadership and management skills
Knowledge of warehousing, inventory and facility lease agreements
Strong knowledge of sales and P&Ls.
Excellent computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
High school diploma or GED required
Excellent knowledge of the products
Comprehends Inside Sales, Warehouse, and Delivery Functions
Thinks creatively and identifies sales opportunities
Positive approach toward challenging situations
Strong decision-making abilities - understands impact and implications of decisions
Strong negotiation skills
Strong presentation skills
Strong people management and time management skills
Able to operate computer terminal, personal computer and office machines
