Description: The Software Engineer will work with the Clients Kubernetes Engineer team to design, implement, and deploy software which meet customer’s requirements as well as internal team enhancement needs. The engineer will participate in architecture and design of various software components focused on creating applications that leverage next-gen technologies to progress the platform Works on technical assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.The Software Engineer’s role in a devops team is to develop and evolve devops tooling to maintain, enhance, and evolve the clients Technology portfolio. Specific tasks may include the creation, adaption, or revision of current or new tooling, and service architecture, and implementation techniques and processes. May be required to perform, evaluate, or test current software or software products. Technical documentation and presentation skills are required in order to translate complex ideas to a wide range of audiences. Influence and drive industry forums. Works on technical assignments that are routine in nature. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.

Essential Functions: Technical System Expertise: Understand how systems operate and the benefits of current technology. High level of connectivity understanding. Scientific method. Participates in activities designed to validate, enhance, and optimize Platform engineering offerings. Performs validation tests and inspection techniques and documents results.· Innovation: Understands and shares new ideas which improve an existing system/process/service. Question and express new perspectives based on independent study of the industry. Review current company processes to highlight questions that may drive process refinement.· Technical Writing: Maintains knowledge of existing technology documents. Maintains clear documentation on systems and services used. Documenting system architecture, strategies, design standards and business requirements.· Technical Leadership: Collaborates with technical team to deliver technical solutions. Continuously learns new technologies. Ability to offer and communicate ideas and opinions. Ability to learn technologies being used. Awareness of technology roadmap, architecture, design strategies and standards.· Technology Strategy: Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging engineering practices.

QualificationsMinimum Required· 2-5+ Years Technical engineering experience· Strong communication skills. Able to ensure that information is passed on to others who should be kept informed. Express self clearly in conversations and interactions with others. Strong business and technical writing skills.· Strong customer focus. Ability to demonstrate concern and meet external and/or internal customers’ needs.· Strong analytical skills. Ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.· Strong people skills. Proven ability influencing others; internal and external to immediate team. Able to gain others' support for ideas, proposals, projects, and solutions.· Well versed in the cloud / container space, preferably Cloud Foundry and/or Kubernetes along with microservice architecture/distributed systems architecture· Experience in at least two of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, Golang· Understanding of cloud-native/12Factor design principles· Experience with CI/CD Pipeline systems like Jenkins, Concourse, Hudson, Bamboo
