At HII Mission Technologies, we are in search of a qualified and resourceful Data Management Controller to join our Integrated Product Support (IPS) team and work with our PNW Engineering and Design Solutions, Logistics Department. This position could potentially become hybrid once fully trained.

What You Will Do

  • Reviews engineering documentation, reports, specifications, and drawings to determine documentation and material requirements, ensure compliance with engineering specifications, ensuring engineering orders reflect the latest requirements.
  • Analyzes proposed changes in product design to determine effect on documents such as drawings, test specifications, manuals, and ensures all documents have required approvals.
  • Compiles release packages ensuring all documentation is present.
  • Notifies appropriate departments of any new or updated data.
  • Maintains audit trails.
  • Researches and resolves inconsistencies with design, production, material, or program office.
  • Researches ships configuration data and creates ships maintenance actions.
  • Validate equipment installations aboard US Navy ships.
  • Perform inventories of Technical Manuals and Tactical Software.

What You Must Have

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and/or 4 year's additional education and/or related experience in parts or component research.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to work in industrial settings and aboard US Navy Ships.
  • Ability to climb and descend shipboard ladders and to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to attain and maintain a Secret security Clearance.
  • Candidate may be required to travel for 2 to 3 weeks at a time with some international travel.

Bonus Points For Having!

  • Experience as ships Repair Parts Petty Officer or related field handling parts and material.
  • Shipboard and engineering system knowledge in Hull, Mechanical, or Electrical (HM&E) systems a plus or related experience working with military equipment systems.
  • Experience as a work center 3M Maintenance Petty Officer or above or related field handling parts and material.
  • Ships CSMP experience in writing and recommending job repairs or related equipment/system job writing.
  • Logistics experience identifying equipment and material using Navy Supply research tools such as HAYSTACK, FEDLOG,

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
