Job Overview:
To complete a variety of specialized duties that support functional operations. The duties in the department specialist job family focus on tasks and/or work that are unique to the department and require knowledge and skills that are beyond what are required for general office work.Some of what you will do:- Use a company program to log all calls
- Ensure that all necessary information is entered into the system so that all required data is compiled on the equipment
- Ensure that all calls are handled in a timely fashion
- Investigate untimely service
- Cover holidays and other shifts where necessary in the 24/7/365 Dispatch Department
- Complete purchase order form for expense items purchased
- Communicate all major problems or concerns to supervisor
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to prioritize workload and work between several projects/task
- Excellent communications skills and an affinity for working with people
- Experience working with vendors
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
- May sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
- May use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
- Schedule: Full-time
